For me, free software is not an alternative of proprietary software. Rather it is part of a larger movement of sharing knowledge and information, a movement with a long history. As announced, I will speak in the Zeuux Summit on May 17. If anybody is interested in meeting me on another day, I will be glad to do so. This is what I can do: (1) I will bring high school Chinese classics textbooks used in Japan to show and give copies to anyone interested. (2) I will demonstrate how Chinese classics are read in Japanese. (3) I will answer questions about how Chinese classics are taught in Japanese schools, which phrases are well known, etc. (4) To anybody studying the Japanese language I can help offer help. I can suggest practice material: novels, manga, technical books. (5) To anybody studying modern history I can answer questions, suggest books (English and Japanese) and help establish contact with organizations in Japan. (6) I can also show a school textbook used in South Korea and a poem collection from North Korea. (7) I will listen to questions or requests for Netpbm (image processing software package.) If you cannot speak neither English nor Japanese, no problem. We will communicate in written Chinese. I will be in Beijing May 15 - 18 and May 24 - 28, Hangzhou: May 18 - 21, Nanjing: May 21 - 24. Richard Stallman and I will speak on the following dates in Hangzhou and Nanjing: 2014-05-19: 18:30--21:30: speech: Sir Run-Run Shaw Hall, Zhejiang University Yuquan Campus, #38, Zheda Road, Xihu District 2014-05-22: ??:??--??:??: speech: Room 233, Computer Science & Technology Building, Nanjing University
