我现在需要将mp3文件转换成midi文件。
请问python有什么模块是支持音频的？
另外，这个转换应该注意些什么？

python相关的不太清楚，不过mp3(其它音频也一样)转midi难度很大的，现在即使商业软件效果也不理想，你真的意识到问题的难度了吗？
这可不仅仅是音频转换，倒是与语音识别相关的技术更接近些，基本思路大概就是用FFT之类的算法做频谱分析，和midi波表的乐器频谱做匹配。
工业领域的成熟类库只怕是没有的，不管什么语言，大概只有学术界有些可以利用的成果，去搜搜相关论文吧。

如你所说，midi本身只是乐谱，所以真正高质量的midi都是人手写的，就好像是给乐曲重新编曲一样。
音色库一般称为波表，自动化的音频转midi其实就是选定一套波表为模板，从原始音频中识别出各乐器成分。
基本上这不是"损失"或者"失真"的问题，而是识别的准确率（包括乐器的识别和各乐器旋律的识别），还有波表的音色与真实乐器音色的差异问题。

intelliScore Polyphonic大概是现在最成熟的商业软件，号称它的识别算法研究了六年。
如果只是要用的话，买一套来可能比自己写要省事划算多了。
