| Red Hat's OpenShift PaaS team is looking for an energetic and prolific Evangelist to join our small but growing team. OpenShift feels more like a startup in that we have responsibility for an exciting and rapidly evolving product and business line, with the support and resources of an established open source software company. This is a great opportunity for an individual who has strong developer skills, is an excellent communicator across multiple mediums including: speaking, blogging, writing and social media. Primary Responsibilities: * Maintaining an active developer or cloud centric blog and twitter feed * Attending and speaking at user groups, meetups and conferences * Acting as a goodwill ambassador to developer and partner communities * Developing content, including: HOWTO articles, white papers, videos and knowledge base articles * Enabling Red Hat employees and OpenShift enthusiasts to evangelize on our behalf * Assisting users with technical issues on IRC and the forums * Ensuring developers have an incredible experience using OpenShift

Job Requirements |
|
| * Active in multiple language, framework or middleware communities * Previous speaking engagements at developer conferences, camps and meetups * Strong history of execution of initiatives, taking responsibility, meeting deadlines, framing difficult problems, being an expert in multiple domains, and doing the impossible, all remotely * Solid Linux skills are very desirable, as well as familiarity with PHP, Java, Ruby, Perl or Node.js, and JBoss, MySQL, Apache, MongoDB, CouchBase or other web-centric middleware components. * Applicants may have previous development experience with mobile or web applications and services. * A passion for cloud computing and open source software * Willingness to travel |
