Jordan Retro Shoes, The Katrina Air Jordan 3 was a special edition Air Jordan 3 that was designed by Jordan Brand exclusively for a charity auction to support the relief efforts from Hurricane Katrina. The legend of the Air Jordan 3 in this white/red color combo may be tied to the brand's charitable donation for the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in 2006, but it actually started in 2003 as one of Derek Anderson's special Player Exclusives. That specific colorway of the Air Jordan 3 went on to be part of a special "Become Legendary" display at the Naismith Hall Of Fame which showcased Air Jordan models in original colorways, but the fact that this white/red wasn't in fact born in 1988 added to its mystique.
For 2018, New Air Jordan Shoes will be celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Air Jordan 3, which will include a retro release of the "Katrina" colorway. Dressed in a White, Cement Grey, Black and Fire Red color scheme. Not only will it be the first public release, but the shoe will not include "Nike Air" on the back heels. This White and Red sample edition of the Air Jordan 3 was produced back in 2006 and was highly popular by a lot of sneakerheads. The shoe offers somewhere between a combination of the "Fire Red" and "Cement" Air Jordan 3s, but this particular colorway never released to the public.
